Well, I got bored tonight and looked through old sketchbooks and thought of old times and all my friends here, and then I thought maybe I'd post something like this journal entry. So that's what I'm doin.

How are y'all? I'm doing well, although I came down with a cold yesterday. Hopefully by tomorrow I will be in full health again. I've officially started a book illustration career, with the printing of my first illustrated kids' book in March, and the second just last week. I finished my work on the third book this week, so in a month or two that'll be on the shelves too! Only the first book is listed on Amazon, but here is a link: [link]
So that's pretty exciting!

Other than that.... I'm graduating in December from GVSU. It'll be 4 1/2 years there... I kinda wish I could stay longer.

I got my hair cut. I hadn't had it cut (only trimmed) since I started college! It was pretty long, so I've donated it

I also got a new bike. It's awesome and pink! A cruiser style bike, so it looks kinda old/retro? I had forgot how much fun it is to go bicycling! And it helps a ton for getting around campus.

I probably still won't visit DA too much in the future, but if you wanna talk sometime, you can email me (i just updated my email address cuz i don't check the old one anymore) I've also got a website, rather in need of some updating, but it has some of my more recent art if you wanna check that out. I miss you guys too, and it really really makes me happy to know that you're still thinking of me.

I just figured I should have a new entry for the new year. I think I liked 2004 better ... 4 is my favourite number, and furthermore, I enjoy writing it. 5, on the other hand, gives me problems ... you know how they teach you in kindergarten or whatever, to do it all in one stroke ... and then as you learn, you get faster and better (or faster and worse) at writing, and eventually your 5 starts to look like S and you have to go back and add that extra stroke at the top so people can be sure that it's a 5 ... yeah. So that's the point I'm at now. And maybe I like how my 5 looks when I'm done writing it, but it's still so annoying to have to go back and add that stroke to the top. Now, I know you may say, "But 4 has two strokes as well!" But you see ... it's supposed to. 5 is supposed to be one solid line that bends and curves and does strange things but is still just ONE line. But now it's not. Also I like 4s because I can be extravagant with them and make them look like the sign for the planet Jupiter. (yeah, i only know that because i used to like sailormoon. like, duh.) Not that I really do that ... but I can. Yes, I definitely like writing 4 better than 5.

But I'm sure it will be a good year, all the same!

I think I'll leave this journal up all year long. Maybe not. We'll see.

So, someone I don't know just IMed me while I was typing to someone, and an accept-message came up, but then it disappeared. I have no idea who the person was but I'm sorry! So ... It was just embarassing to have that old thing there. I doubt I really have much to say in this entry though. Uhhh. I'm at college now, advancing in my goal to become a professional illustrator.

I saw a McDonalds sign today and I noticed its prolific use of "i" as opposed to "I" and was thinking about how funny it was that this example of bad grammar has become something so acceptable. And how it wasn't even an issue really, back when people just wrote things and didn't have to bother with pressing an extra key to make their i capitalized. And now, it's totally like, the norm. Personally, I capitalize my "I"s always, except when I'm talking on AIM.

Oh. I got some new shoes recently. They're tan, and I think they're cute, even though they're really quite normal-looking. They're Keds. Isn't that like a grandma-brand or something? Anyway .... they're nice shoes. I also got some argyle socks. I love argyle!!

Okay, this is the end for now.

I made a new icon. It's still making me laugh stupidly every time I see it, even though the scene I snagged it from is rather sad. Ah well. Leeeeeeee~ So cute.

So ... yeah. I don't use my journal much. I'm done with school for the summer now, if you didn't know, and I'm working at the lovely local Flowerland lots now! *does a cute-cashier pose (is there such a thing?)* I've been crazy for downloading various music and PVs and other things that quickly fill my poor hard drive.

And that's about it. I don't know, I really don't. I've nothing to say in these things. So basically, I'm just letting you all know that I love my icon.
